How do I find suitable accommodation for my holiday with Solemar?

Solemar offers a variety of search options.

Our completely new and very user-friendly navigation system will quickly guide you to your ideal holiday accommodation. In the menu on the left of the screen you will find the most commonly used search criteria. So, unlike with other portals, you don't need to first enter your departure date and number of travellers. You can simply let yourself be inspired by the various offers as you click on the individual criteria (e.g. month of travel, type of accommodation). Whenever you click on a new search criterion the results list will automatically be updated in the central part of the screen. By simply clicking on the left hand side, you can restrict the results by means of further search criteria whenever you wish. If you no longer wish to use particular search criteria, just click on the little "x" next to the search criterion in the selection box, top left. The search criterion will disappear and the results list will be automatically updated.

Another search option is to use the free text search. Enter the search terms that are relevant for you (e.g. your destination) in the search field in the right hand column on the Solemar website.

The results can also be sorted according to price, name and rating if you choose.

What exactly does Solemar offer?

Solemar is an internet portal for holiday accommodation, i.e. for holiday houses, holiday apartments, chalets, villas and many other more unusual kinds of accommodation.

We offer a very comprehensive service, an extremely user-friendly search function and a simple booking procedure.

Important: Solemar itself does not offer accommodation. All accommodation is offered by partners, and the contractual relationship is at all times between the provider and the person renting. Consequently, Solemar's general terms and conditions and the additional conditions of the provider concerned apply. Solemar has no influence on these additional conditions. How can I book a holiday apartment or house?

The Solemar booking process is very simple and consists of the following quick steps - to get to the next page in the booking process click the button on the bottom right of the screen:

  1. Once you have found suitable accommodation you can check the facilities and availability on the details page and then click on the "Book" button. Please select your chosen options and additional services below. The correct hire price will be shown immediately.
  2. In step 2 we ask for your personal information and chosen payment method.
  3. In step 3 you will be able to check all of the details once more. If everything is correct, please confirm that you accept the terms and conditions. You can enter final confirmation of your tailor-made holiday by clicking on "Book now".
  4. You will receive an immediate booking confirmation.

How can I see whether accommodation is available for my planned travel dates?

Solemar offers a very easy to use search function. Once you have clicked on a particular period (month) in the left-hand column, only accommodation available in that period will be shown in the results list.

There is a details page for each property, which shows the availability for that property in a clear calendar format.

Some accommodation is only available on request; you can send an enquiry for these properties and the owner will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Where can I find more information on a particular property?

The providers of the particular properties always try to give the fullest descriptions of the accommodation and to illustrate these with photos. Unfortunately we cannot provide additional information.

As Solemar is purely an internet portal we cannot offer you a catalogue. However it is possible to ask the accommodation providers directly for more information.

How do I find the best value holiday accommodation?

The best thing to do is to click on a price that best meets your budget from the menu on the left of the screen in the "price per week" criteria segment.

We will then only show you accommodation in this price bracket. You can sort your results by price at any time.

What are my details used for?

Solemar treats your data in the strictest confidence. We will only pass on your details in the event of a booking, and then only to the accommodation provider. The data protection regulations of the respective providers apply.

Solemar does not pass on any data to third parties. We guarantee that you will not receive any unsolicited marketing material from third parties.

Can I book rental cars, flights and events with Solemar too?

We work with partners to provide you with a comprehensive range of additional options. Our goal is to enable you to book your holiday quickly, easily and in one place.

Can you send me a printed brochure?

Solemar is purely an online portal, so unfortunately we can't offer printed brochures. This is one of the main reasons we are able to offer you accommodation and services with very reasonable prices and conditions.

When and how will I get my travel documents?

You will receive your travel documents from the accommodation provider direct, usually 4 weeks before departure (except in the case of last-minute offers).

What does "persons allowed" mean?

The "persons allowed" figure shows how many adults can be accommodated in the property. With some accommodation there is an option to book additional beds or children's beds. You will find this information on the details page of each property.

How are the holiday homes equipped?

The facilities at each property vary considerably and can range from luxurious to simple. Information on the precise facilities at a particular property can be found on the details page for that property.

How securely is my data transferred when booking?

Solemar uses an SSL 128-bit encrypted connection for your booking. You will know from the padlock symbol at the top left of the screen that the connection is secure. So you don't need to worry that third parties can access your data during the transfer.
